A Certain Kind of Crazy

There are aspects to my personality that are unique, things that make me…me. I love this about myself, that my likes and dislikes, my relationships and personality have formed the person I have become. I, for the most part, have grown to love who I am. There are days, however, when one of those unique qualities pops up at full force. At times like this I often take a step back and say to myself ‘this is it, I’ve crossed the line from quirky into crazy’. Shortly after having these thoughts I usually realize that we are all crazy in one form or another. There is no such thing as ‘normal’. There are all of these qualities that make up a person and we don’t share them all but we often share one or too. So we are not all identical but there are similar qualitys that connect us to each other.

I talk to myself. A lot. It helps me think and process my thoughts. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am going crazy. I know that I am not alone in this, many people talk to themselves. Take my mother for example. I recently found an article that reassured me that when I am talking to myself I am not going crazy, it’s just a unique part of my personality. The article even described how talking to yourself is beneficial and a sign of intelligence. Check out the full article, People Who Talk To Themselves Aren’t Crazy, They’re Actually Geniuses

Worth The Risk

There is freedom waiting for you,

On the breezes of the sky,

And you ask “What if I fall?”

Oh but my darling,

What if you Fly?
